One Question About Obsession

Just watched the movie Obsession. Towards the end of the movie, Bear goes back to the store to buy more of the wishes. The man behind the counter said he used his already (and he’s completely fine). Is there anymore to him? Is he like the inventor of the wish? Do not all wishes go wrong? Did I miss something? Sorry I might just be overthinking it haha
