Architecture student offering simple floor plan services for real estate agents – where do I find clients?
Hey everyone,
I’m an architecture student looking to make some side income while building practical experience. I’ve been creating clean, simple residential floor plans (2D layouts) that could help real estate agents showcase homes to buyers. The service I’m looking to offer would involve:
- Visiting homes/condos (or working from provided measurements)
- Taking accurate measurements if needed
- Creating simple, easy-to-read floor plans
- Great for listing presentations, MLS marketing, and helping buyers better understand layout/flow of a property
I’m not offering stamped architectural drawings or permit-related work; just basic visual floor plans for real estate marketing purposes.
I’m trying to figure out the best way to find agents or brokerages who may actually need this.
A few questions:
- Where would real estate agents typically look for a service like this?
- Would brokerages hire someone freelance for this kind of work?
- Is it better to directly cold message agents, visit brokerages, or network another way?
- What price range would make this attractive for simple residential floor plans?
the
If you’re an agent, broker, photographer, or someone in real estate marketing, I’d love your honest thoughts.
Thanks!
