I honestly don’t understand the hate. It’s kind of sad how people equalize being unstable meaning they should be hated.

People truly need to look at the other characters compared to Sarah:

1. Luke:
• I love Luke honestly, but he acted more of a liability than Sarah did. He had sex with Jane while Rebecca was nearly in labor while the rest of the group were looking for ways to help, he literally sold the plan for food, he couldn’t even help Sarah without Clem..

2. Rebecca:
• I love Rebecca as well, but she was introduced terribly, she had a terrible attitude to little clem for no absolute reason, and she was obviously a liability with her pregnancy.

3. Carlos:
• He was a doctor but couldn’t even tell the difference between a humanly single walker bite and a fanged dog bite..like come on now. He raised Sarah to hide, and to HEAVILY depend on him, I understand that he was trying to protect her, but the way he did it was absolutely terrible because she didn’t have enough time to adapt correctly.

4. Nick:
• He was a screw-up through and through and didn’t bring anything to the table. He almost shot Clem, he shot someone who was willing to help us, and then faded into the background.

Pete was the only one who seemed to be stable for the most part, but he didn’t get to show it, same with Alvin.

I see a lot of people compare Sarah to Clem, but the thing is they aren’t the same, they didn’t have the same upbringing or anything. Clem had good guidance. She was able to adapt because she wasn’t sheltered. Lee protected her, but he didn’t sugarcoat things. Clem also adapted on her own, she was smart but innocent at the same time. Sarah on the other hand, was sheltered by her father, she was basically a prisoner in her father’s love. She didn’t get to think for herself in the way Clem was able to, he didn’t teach her anything.

People also get frustrated with when she didn’t want to get up, which is very understandable, she was annoying in that scene but it’s also understandable. She lost her father. The one that had ALL control on her thoughts and the way she should live, she lost her protector. We also forget that she’s a kid, just because Clem was able to get over deaths, doesn’t make it the same for everyone else, Clem got to grow mentally and emotionally, Sarah never got that chance.

It’s kind of sad when people try to talk down on Sarah, but then show glory to Luke, Louis, and Violet. Luke was a charismatic screw up, Violet was very selfish on the boat, and Louis shows resentment towards Clem and AJ when they were nearly victims to Marlon and his plans.

Sarah is heavily overhated..
