Where to start for a first time listener?

I recently saw an Adam Neely video on Youtube (he does music theory stuff) about polyrhythms and complicated tuplet grooves, and he brought up Soil by SOAD as an example. I primarily listen to rock (some of my favorites are Radiohead, a couple Chili Peppers albums, Ween, The Police, etc.), and the most metal thing I listen to is Primus, which is really a genre of its own.

I’ve never really understood metal (which is probably my own fault for not exposing myself to enough metal), and I rarely ever enjoy a metal song, but after listening to Soil a handful of times, I definitely like their sound and want to hear more.

What album should I start with? I know Toxicity is their big one so I’ll probably start there if the responses here are too mixed, but what do you guys think?
