The boys is one currently one of the hot topics for discussing due to its ending that has diverse the fandom with many on the side with being agreed upon that is bad. I am for one am on the side that believes this season ended in disappointment and had a high bar set that wasn't met at all. However I believe this bar wasn't met because on of the issues not discussed about enough is the false advertising surrounding this series season 5. They hinted at a mass global destruction that was going to be caused by Homelander which would eventually lead with butcher ending it as he did in the comics. Although Butcher did end it similar to the comics it was no we near on the marketing level that they hinted it would be at.

My main issue is that this feels like a blatant scam it almost feels as they knew what they were doing with this seasons finale. There is many suggested evidence from the producer that they knew this season was most likely going to bomb and be controversial. However to blatantly lie about what was going to be included in the show is a trashy movie and a poor character of Erik Kripke and anyone else who supported the direction of this finale season. Although I can not quite prove it this definitely feels like it has to fall under a form of scam where they show one things, but what you get is another product. All I can say is the actors out performed this poor script and deserved to have ended this series they worked so hard on in a better note and I hope another show never deceive a audience like this again.

The Boys disgusting false advertising
