My horse in minecraft died

Before I begin, I know this is entirely my fault.

I was looking for soft snow to make a gold farm, night fell and I didn't want to sleep even though I had a bed in my inventory. When I finally found the soft snow, my horse fell into it. Because it was dark, the mobs kept hitting me and I ended up not being able to get him out of the snow because of that. I had an emotional attachment to that horse and he died because of me.

Honestly, I have absolutely no desire to go back to playing in that world, even though it's my "eternal world."
