Scared for the first poop!

Im 4 days pp now I tore slightly and have not been taking stool softeners as I now see people recommending, did not know that before. I have had a whole life of bad luck when it comes to bowl movements and I am so scared for this. How do I clean? Do I use the peri bottle then just get in the shower just to make sure? How did you guys do it?
