CODEX Users, GPT 5.5 272k or GPT 5.4 1M?

I'm running long tasks where the agent is needing to compact several times MID TASK which cannot be good for quality retention. I like 5.5 but I'm debating if its just worth living with 5.4 for now until something changes. Open to opinions from others using Codex Oauth.
