Really Limited Screenings for New Movies

Is god is just released but when I looked at upcoming showtimes for Friday through the weekend in most amc's near me, almost all of the theaters only have one showing at like 10pm? Is this normal for such a new movie? I feel like I've been seeing that happen a lot, mostly for r rated movies, but by comparison obsession (great flic) has a bajillion screenings near me.

Does anyone know why that is?
