Best bar to belly up at solo, when wanting to have convo with strangers

Title says it all…but I come from a big city and miss having a plethora of bars that were bustling with group diners and solos alike - where you don’t feel like the only solo diner/drinker there and other solos or service staff want to chat and have pleasant conversation.

What comes to mind if someone asked you where to go for a drink and good company?
