26[M4A] Looking for a penpal also dealing with the Mutigevirus

I'm gonna be blunt, I'm not enthusiastic about doing any of this.

AT ALL.

But my therapist says she won't sign off on any of my FITA papers (Federal Independent Transmutation Acclimation) unless I “discuss” my transition with somebody else. She says it’ll be helpful for me to have a “penpal” who’s also going through the Mutigevirus that I can relate to? I guess this is like a diary thing? She wasn’t super clear on what to talk about, just that I keep up with them semi-frequently.

So it's either this or end up under government watch for the rest of the process.

To be frank I think this is all pretty stupid, I’ve only been “diagnosed” for a week. Yeah yeah, I know what the doctors and the tests said, and the chances of recovery are less than slim, but I’m literally still human!!! Like not just metaphorically, I’m still normal, no symptoms! I don’t see any fur, no claws, no tails, no “instincts”, no “uncharacteristically abrupt arrogance”, and no mood swings!!! I really HATE when so-called experts treat you like they know so much fucking more! (“Cope” my ass. I’d like to see her be told she’ll start developing paws in two weeks!)

Ugh, sorry for the rant. Anyways, I figured this subreddit was the closest place to find people. Give me a shout, I’m sure we can just give the bare meow-nimum and move on with our lives until I get better.

Hey there! I’m looking to do a bit of a semi-casual meta style RP where we both play as penpals sharing updates on their transformative journey across an IRL month or two!

In this universe, there’s an ongoing endemic disease, known as the Mutigevirus, that causes the slow process of transforming humans into other beings or creatures. It’s rare and non-contagious from the infected, so there’s some degree of normalcy in its presence. No cure has yet been made to combat this process, so the only current solution is to help ease the patient into their new role. This leaves them with the choice of being put under government watch, or working through the FITA process in order to maintain some sense of autonomy.

You chose the latter.

The both of us will be playing characters dealing with this virus, and as a requirement, will meet each other via Reddit chat. You can play as someone you made up, or base your journey on your IRL self as if you were genuinely living with the Mutigevirus (Don’t dox yourself tho).

From there we can chat about literally anything. The changes, your hobbies, your job, what you ate for lunch, whatever. It can be written like an actual penpal letter, keep things down to casual conversation, or maybe both. The main idea here is to provide little updates of our lives, while providing hints of, to literal talk about our changes.

At minimum, I’d like to post twice a week and total to a few paragraphs. Make sure your changes scales appropriately with the timeline. I do like some creative writing for what’s ultimately a mundane situation, so please consider integrating more things happening in your life than just the TF! Think of the logistics of the situation. How do you deal with work, your relationships, your diet, where and how you live? And so on. I’m sure there’s some fun opportunity here to create a little story arc, and maybe even have your partner influence your choices!

I’d like to plot out details first in the comments, then move into chat if we’re a good pair. Mention what your TF is, how many weeks (4 minimum) you want to pace this at, and kinks+limits. I’ll reach out via chat if we’re good.
