I think my friend spent 10k on the true silver skin for Edgar.

I saw my friend, who loves playing Edgar, had Edgar's true silver skin and I asked him if he really spent 10k coins on that. He said he got it from a drop but I think he's lying since apparently you can only get the true silver skin by spending 10k coins, though when I called him out for this he insisted that he really did get it from a drop, and said that he needs coins for upgrades, so why would he spend 10k on the skin.

Is he being truthful or is he lying?
