how much is one person supposed to be able to take?
8 months ago i got out of an abusive relationship and was completely isolated from my social circle. i have 2 friends left and they’re not great at reaching out. i had to go move back in with my parents (im 27 and we don’t have an amazing relationship), because i had nowhere else to go after the breakup. then i applied for a “good” job, only for it to suck the life out of me once i got there. they gave me third shift (10pm-8am) and i had to completely alter my life for it. it’s the worst job i’ve ever had, and it’s been taking a major toll on my mental health in multiple different ways. then, this past month, my grandma (who was like a mom to me) fell ill and went to the hospital. she did not recover, went into hospice and i watched her fucking die. that happened over the course of 21 days.
i have been in a dissociative state for this entire month, feels like i’ve been living a dream i don’t know how to escape. i’m expected to keep on living like normal but i don’t know how. i’ve been trying to move for 4 months now but the job market is horrible. i have some plans for my future but they seem almost unattainable right now. i don’t know how much a person is supposed to take. especially without support.
