My employer misclassified us as contract workers when we are treated like employees. I am quitting and planning to apply for unemployment. What are my chances of proving I quit for "good cause"?
Hi. Like the title said, I've been misclassified as a contract worker when I fit the qualifications for an employee. This job environment has been very toxic and 4+ people have quit in the past 4 months. I've hit my limit and am sending my resignation letter. I took screenshots of the schedules and pto hours etc. that prove they were not treating us like contract workers.
If I apply for unemployment, what are my chances of proving I quit for good cause? Do you have any tips/advice for me to ensure I get unemployment benefits?
