Radago's Raiders Seem More Difficult

I just downloaded the update and started a new playthrough. The first group of Radago's Raiders I fought wiped out all my Headman's Troops. I'm not used to that happening. It must have somethign to do with the AI changes to cavalary.

I'm not sure how I would have reacted if I was new to the game. They seem a bit too difficult now, especially for newer players.
