Can new diesels be worked on at home?

I need a new rig. I want something made in the last 5 years, but i want to be able to do my own repairs and maintenance.

Would i be crazy to buy a new diesel? Is there anyhing different from like a 2019 to like a 2024
When it comes to accessing modules and resetting stuff?

Im thinking i need to stixk to 2019 and below trucks, but if i can do repairs on something newer i would prefer that.
