I have finally gone no contact with my oldest brother. After years of verbal abuse.

We had a wild terrible childhood. Overly permissive parenting. I only saw him once in like 4+ years bc I went to the same bday party he was at. He has always been very volatile and abusive. Literally abused our middle sibling throughout our childhood until he was finally big and strong enough to defend himself.

He is bipolar and had a traumatic brain injury in his early 20’s. I ask myself why he survived. He smokes meth randomly and goes on tirades. He somehow gets bailed out of every bad situation he gets himself into… he has tried to kill our mom, who enables him.

I limited contact when I was pregnant 4 years ago bc he went off on me and called my husband a derogatory slur. He then called my unborn child the same thing and I then made the decision he was no longer going to be in my life.

More recently he is upset that our other brother (who had a stroke, he’s okay and a very good person) is going to boxing classes with my husband and I. He says we are trying to kill him since he had a stroke 13 years ago??? Here is the text that was the final straw for me to delete and block him everywhere. He is now harassing our brother, my husband, and leaving voicemails even though he is blocked.

There is so much more to say about our dysfunctional childhoods, but this would turn into a novel. I’m done. My mom won’t stop talking to him or having a relationship with him, in a sick way I think she likes when we all fight. I cannot go no contact bc she takes care of our brother who is partially disabled.

Idk why I’m posting this. I just want to commiserate I guess
