neighbor dispute

Hey guys, just need to vent and ask for advice regarding a stressful neighborhood dispute. I want to know if my dad is in any actual legal danger, because the other party is acting like it's a huge criminal case.

Our next-door neighbor is an avid online gamer. He routinely plays video games past midnight and screams/shouts at his game. My mom has already approached and politely warned him about 3-4 times in the past because it heavily affects our family’s sleep.

Around 2:00 PM – 3:00PM, this guy was gaming again and shouting profanities/foul words. Out of frustration, my dad picked up a random piece of wood nearby and banged a hammer against it just to get his attention. My dad then entered (the door was open/accessible) and shouted at him to "Shut up."

My dad NEVER threatened his life, never touched him, and didn't damage any of their property (since he hit a piece of wood, not their door). Instead of backing down or apologizing, the boy immediately fired back, stood his ground, argued aggressively, and shouted back at my dad. It was a mutual, heated verbal shouting match.

Now, the boy is suddenly acting "traumatized." He immediately went to the police station to make a "demand" / report. Because the police obviously can't file a direct case for a neighbor dispute, it got referred to our barangay. Today, my dad just received an official Barangay Summons for a mediation meeting.

So, can this boy actually file heavy legal charges against my dad (like Trespassing or Grave Threats) even though it was 2:00 PM, no life threats were made, he actively fought back, and he has zero video proof?
