My Journey as a Full Stack Developer in Syria

I’m a full stack developer from Syria with around 1.5 years of experience working mostly with React, TypeScript, Node.js, and PostgreSQL.

Over the past period, I worked on different freelance projects and real-world applications, including a multi-tenant sports booking platform.

Like many developers trying to grow remotely, finding opportunities to work with bigger teams and companies hasn’t been easy, especially early in the journey. But honestly, that challenge pushed me to improve my skills, learn more seriously, and build projects every single day.

Recently I started sharing more about the things I’m building, the problems I’m solving, and the experience I’m gaining along the way.

I know many developers here probably went through a similar stage before reaching better opportunities, so I’d genuinely love to hear:

• what helped you grow the most?
• what changed things for your career?
• and what advice would you give to someone trying to break into stronger remote opportunities?

Always open to learning from people with more experience 👨‍💻
