F1 Rejection with only 2 damn questions !!!!!

Hey everyone, so I had my F1 visa interview for MSCS at the University of Florida, Fall 2026, on 22nd May at the Mumbai consulate. Here is how it went:

(Counter no. 32, VO was a 30-40 yo male with a full beard and brown hair)

**In a nervous, mild voice, "Good morning, Officer," because ~4 people before me were rejected

VO: Pass me your I20 and passport
Handed him

VO: So which universities did you apply to?
I just listed the full names of all the 4 universities

VO: What does your father do?
I exactly told him: "He is a (his business title)"

He typed for like 1 straight minute on his computer while I stood there awkwardly smiling, and told me I was ineligible for the visa at the moment and handed me the 214b slip. My mind went blank like, what just happened, that fast?? Only 2 questions ?? That too unrelated to the program and university !!!! I was like still processing it, and it didn't even cross my mind to ask him, "Officer, that's it? Are you not going to ask me any more questions? Why am I ineligible? "

I don't even know what went wrong. I was dressed fine (white T-shirt with a shirt on, jeans, and shoes). Maybe my answers were short and straightforward, but I was waiting for him to ask me something about the program or university so that I could fill him up with the details (in my mind, I didn't even think that much about the initial questions, I was like oh cmon no need to rant at this stage, I will where it is needed but damnn)
