Heya, Jonny Sims here, posting about a horror TTRPG thing I'm doing!
Hi all, sorry about the self-promo, but I figure this is kinda Magnus-adjacent and, well, this may be the place I have the most justification to post about my other projects (although I admit it would be really funny if I did get banned from this subreddit).
Anyway, if you're not aware, myself and Sasha run a very small tabletop RPG publishing company called MacGuffin & Co, which gives us a way to put out all the little indie games we write. Most of these don't have enough overlap with Magnus or horror stuff for me to feel comfortable promoting them here, but the one we're currently crowdfunding is called The Bad Year and, while it's not explicitly set in the Magnus universe, it's a collection of TTRPG adventures that are designed to be playable in any horror investigation system, including the Monte Cook Magnus Archives RPG.
The idea of The Bad Year is that it's a one-sheet adventure for every week of the year, and can be played a big campaign over the course of 52 weeks (well, 53 if you include the final adventure) or any of the adventures can be done as a seasonal one-shot if you want to drop a New Years Eve- or Valentine's Day-themed session into your ongoing campaign.
Anyway, we're currently running the Kickstarter for it here, so check it out if you get a chance. I think it's a legitmately fantastic book for anyone who runs horror TTRPGs, or who just wants some extra little doses of (occasionally goofy) horror written by me!
