Obsidian excalidraw slow performance help? Or is there a better drawing plugin?

I already asked on the obsidian subreddit but thought it'd be a good idea to ask here too. I'd like to have all my notes and sketches on just one canvas but I'm not even halfway done to moving all my ideas on the canvas and it's pretty laggy. It works better when zooming out but I want to be able to see everything without it being so slow. Is there a pixel art plugin or something less laggy for sketching? Or is there something I need to mess with in the settings? I'm new to using obsidian
