People that have been happy after leaving a good job?

I left my job yesterday after 6 years (first company) great people, very relaxed, in my town. However pay was stalling. I’m moving to a completely different role but still within the same industry, but the role is a lot more ambitious and out of my comfort zone. Does anyone have any success stories where they were in a similar position and don’t regret their choice?
