**Equitas Selfe has genuinely become my favourite card right now.** Sharing my personal experience after using it heavily for the last few months.

The rewards structure is surprisingly simple:

• **2% reward points** on regular spends
• **5X reward points (10%)** on **2 selected categories** chosen during application

The reward point redemption value depends on the tier you’re assigned. Tiers are based on your monthly spends for a quarter — Blue, Silver, Gold, Platinum & Diamond.

For example:
• **Gold Tier:** 1 RP = ₹0.5 for Amazon Pay Voucher
• **Diamond Tier:** 1 RP = ₹1 for Amazon Pay Voucher

To reach **Diamond Tier**, you need to spend **₹1 lakh/month for 3 consecutive months** in a quarter.

If you’re **someone buying gold/silver** regularly from platforms like Myntra/Ajio, this is actually achievable.

Another important thing:
**You can earn points at any tier and redeem later after reaching Diamond.**
So accumulated points can effectively become **1:1 value** later.

# The available 5X categories are:

👕 **Apparel** – Myntra / Ajio
(MCCs: 5311, 5611, 5621, 5641, 5651, 5691)

💡 **Utilities** – Mobile, Electricity, Broadband
(MCCs: 4814, 4900)

🍽️ **Dining** – Restaurants & Cafes
(MCCs: 5462, 5812, 5814)

🛒 **Grocery** – Supermarkets & Quick Commerce
(MCCs: 5399, 5411, 5441, 5499)

🚕 **Taxi** – Uber, Ola
(MCCs: 4121)

# Important Observation

**Equitas Selfe is still a relatively new product in the market.**

Usually banks keep reward structures extremely attractive during the initial growth phase to acquire users aggressively.

A perfect example is **SBI Cashback Card**:

• Initially launched with **₹10,000/month cashback cap**
• Over time reduced to **₹2,000/month**

So these opportunities generally don’t stay this good forever.

If someone is planning to maximize this card, this is probably the best phase before future devaluations happen.

Currently Equitas is also offering:

🎁 **₹500 Amazon Voucher** for completing **vKYC before 31st May**

Also, the new quarter starts from **July** and Equitas usually takes around **2–3 weeks** for approval.

So June can be used for:
• Testing merchant MCCs
• Small transactions
• Understanding tracking

Then go full-fledged from **July–September** to target **Diamond Tier**.
