National Grid withdrew my solar application on Thanksgiving while my supervisor was on vacation. 15 months later I'm still not connected. Anyone dealt with this?

Advice Wtd / Project

I'm a disabled Navy vet in West Bridgewater, MA. In May 2025 I tried to go solar — 20kW system, $68,500, licensed contractor. National Grid's own portal had a bug that prevented us from even submitting the application. We documented it with screenshots. They kept asking "what's the error?" after already receiving the screenshots, then closed our support tickets without fixing anything.

Eventually they auto-withdrew my application on Thanksgiving Day while the assigned supervisor was on holiday. Documents had been submitted 19 days earlier.

When I complained, the supervisor wrote back in an email: "This delay is solely the responsibility of the installer and customer."

I have the screenshots of their portal error. I have the closed tickets. I have the Thanksgiving withdrawal timestamp. That email is just... a lie. In writing.

It's now been 15 months. The application has been withdrawn three times and reinstated three times. I lost $21,550 in federal and state solar tax credits because the system wasn't running by December 31, 2025 — entirely because of their delays. The equipment is sitting in storage.

Last week they withdrew it again — one day before the deadline they themselves put in writing. Then reinstated it 24 hours later with the same deficiency list from two months ago.

I mailed a formal 93A demand letter today.

Has anyone successfully fought National Grid on interconnection delays in Massachusetts? Did the DPU actually do anything when you filed a complaint? Looking for anyone who's been through this or knows what actually moves the needle with these guys.
