Help me pick the right scanner
I’m looking for a scanner mainly for G80 M3 aero fitment and custom carbon parts.
Most of what I care about is:
- decent accuracy
- not spending forever cleaning scans
- being able to scan around bumpers, vents, engine bay areas, etc.
Right now I’m mainly looking at the Rockit, Metro Y Ultra, and maybe the new POP 4.
I’ve had some hands-on time with the Rockit and liked how easy it was to use, but I’m still not sure how it compares long term against the others for automotive work.
The POP 4 also caught my attention recently, but it’s honestly getting hard to tell where Revopoint’s lineup overlaps now.
For people doing actual car fitment / reverse engineering work:
what ended up working best for you?
