Victor VS Ethan

Ethan and Victor are the story tellers in From.

We see a lot of evidence supporting that.

What we are missing is that Victor retells the bad story.

Ethan represents the hope part of the story.

I believe that's why Victor is not killed and stayed alive for much longer, because he can influence current events by manifesting the old story. I have a feeling he is the cause of the current and old cycle being so similar.

They did not kill him, because he is already broken and actually helping them influence the town in the wanted outcome.

Ethan on the other hand is a threat and can actually change course.

They do not have to be reincarnation, they exist at the same time. But I feel like there are some similarities between them.

Evidence for this theory, all the cars are also Victors toys, also he draws things before they happen.

I get it that he knows what will happen, but the timing of them happening is exact when he tells it.
