Looking for a clan

I'm getting into the game along with lots of other Destiny gamers I'm sure. I've seen a lot of beginners guides saying getting into a clan is a good idea to progress quickly. I don't love actually playing with other people (social anxiety) so I'm wondering if there's a clan I could join just to lurk? Or maybe there's one for solo players that just want the benefits?
