Shaving off wolf for waves

I have been wolfing for almost 7 months now and I think my waves have really connected and defined-its all curls now.Im having a difficult time finding a barber that I can trust to shave the wolf off.theCut hair has some great barber portfolio and I just booked my appointment.Should I shave the wolf off or Keep it longer for better results
