sci-fi, cyberpunkish book?
hello! relieved to see this subreddit exists lol. hope someone can help me out:
i read this book in 2019-2021 sometime for an english assignment. i do not remember which year the book was published, but i think 90s to early 2000s would be a hit, possibly late 80s. im a little hazy on the details, but i recall the main guy had somehow swapped bodies or something, and he was ex military, maybe? i think some character was, at least. main guy was getting into some dangerous situations and running from the cops or something i believe. i seem to recall interplanetary travel as well. i think it was set about a century or a few forward, and the view on gender and sexuality was a little more lax than it is today, but not completely free of gender roles. there’s a name like novak or kovac or something like that that sticks, but i don’t know if i’m mixing that up with other media… not sure if it’s a character or the author or so. i feel like the cover was in shades of darkish blue and had light on it but that may also be wrong. there was also some very plot important brief sexual content i *think*? so it’s not a children’s book at least.
sorry for very few details, i dont remember much :’) tell me if i need to add anything!
