The power of Ideas and Beliefs
Dandadan's power system has been slowly expanding over the story and a big reoccurring theme is that idea/belief/imagination is a real tangible power and the villains don't have the ability themselves so they steal from those who do. The space globalists literally churn whole species up in a big mama and use their beliefs to turn their idea of their god into a physical weapon. Banga talks about how the Sumerians arrived on their planet after leaving Earth a long time ago, only they don't call it Earth they call the planet Idea.
Earth/Idea is the only planet that has Yokai for some reason as Aliens like the Serpoians don't understand the concept. Saint Germain tells Red Baron that only humans can use Yokai powers and I think this means there is something special about Earth that makes humans capable of turning their ideas into strength.
When Momo is explaining her powers to Seiko she describes it as if anything she could imagine was possible and that made her invincible. Kinta's greatest strength is his incredible imagination to create these complex robots using the nanoskin. The Nanoskin itself using imaginations and thoughts to create seemingly impossible things is also insane when you think about it. it seems to break the laws of physics in the universe but if the technology is somehow designed to tap into this hidden power of ideas to create matter then it starts to make more sense.
The black paladins are currently trying to tie existing Yokai folklore to European fairy tales. This feels forced and like they don't really fit and I think that is intentional to show the disrespect they have for the beliefs of others and how they just want to force it to fit their own framework.
Okarun believed that Manjiro's chores were actually training and so it was and allowed him to pull off some incredible actions against Mr.Dris. You could also say because he believed that Momo had much more ki than him his sword should be much larger and so it was.
The current arc is focusing on Momo's memory loss and Okarun being a liar. Momo losing her powers and her memories at the same time could be another clue for how connected the two are. If Okarun believes his own lies then they could literally become reality. Has he really lost all of Turbo Granny's powers or does he simply believe he has and so he can't access them?
Count Saint Germain mentions his life's goal is to understand everything about the world and doing so might be the key to understanding what the Dandadan really is. Which could be the source of what makes Earth/Idea such a special planet.
I know this post is kinda rambly but I've had these thoughts in my head for a while and just wanted to let them out. I'm sure there's more I missed too and some of it might be reaching to fit the theory.
