The new Spider-Noir is helping me (more in thread: TW for mentions if mental health and harm)
So. I understand how strange this sounds and I’m honestly expecting it to be removed (though I hope it isn’t)
The new Spider-Noir show is preventing me from self harming.
Yeah. You read that correctly.
Due to reasons I won’t disclose here, my mental state has been very tumultuous lately. To the degree that I’m not sleeping, hardly eating, etc.
And my mind has been on…well, self harm lately.
But today was one of the better days I’ve had in a while, because of the new show. As ridiculous as it may seem, I’m pretty happy distracting myself with it. I haven’t thought of self harm when I was watching it. I’m only a few episodes in, and hopefully tomorrow will be good too.
If anyone has had similar experiences, tell me about them. I also tend to get better when engaging with the comics or watching the films (the best being Homecoming IMO)
(if anyone has free mental health resources, don’t hesitate to share. As silly as the method may be, this is an admission of me needing help)
