Found the best way to get LinkedIn engagement and it's embarrassingly simple.

I spent months trying to crack LinkedIn engagement. Tried hooks, carousels, polls, storytelling frameworks. Some worked, some flopped. But the one thing that consistently gets engagement is something nobody talks about because it's not sexy.

Reply to every single comment on your posts within the first hour.

That's it. That's the hack.

LinkedIn's algorithm pushes posts that get early conversation. Not just likes - actual back-and-forth comments. When someone comments on your post and you reply with something thoughtful (not just "thanks!"), it counts as 2 engagements.

That person is also more likely to get notified and come back to reply again. Now you've got a thread going and LinkedIn sees that as a high-value post.

I tested this over 30 posts. Posts where I replied to every comment within 60 minutes got 3-4x more impressions than posts where I replied hours later or not at all. Same content quality. Same posting time. The only variable was my reply speed.

Other small things that helped: ending posts with a genuine question (not "agree?"), tagging 1-2 people who'd actually care about the topic, and posting between 8-10 AM in your audience's timezone.

But the reply speed thing? That moved the needle more than anything else I tried.

What's been your experience? Curious if others have noticed the same thing.
