Hi, I wanted to let everyone interested in playing with friends that I've made a mod to allow each farmhand have their own farm! I also wanted to share my experience learning to make mods.

This is the mod page so you can check it out: [Multiple Farms For Multiplayer](https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/26873)

My video also showcases 2 other mods that complement each other very nicely!

* [Minecarted Multiplayer Farms](https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/44746): essentially an add-on for my mod which adds minecarts.
* [Cabins to farmhouses](https://www.nexusmods.com/stardewvalley/mods/25081): changes cabins so they look just like the main farmhouse.

# My Experience:

I always thought it would be cool that each player have their own land, so I thought this was a really simple idea and searched if someone have tried in the past and the closer I got was that someone made it so multiple farms stack on each other, and so I tried making my own where each farm was separate...

Then it was non-stop of reports about stuff I completely overlooked where tied or hardcoded to the main farm. This was my 2nd mod using Content Patcher and thought I could do everything with it, but I was so wrong. So after 2 years I now share this in a state I think it's almost fully finished and completely playable with all your friends! Only thing remaining is enhancing more the aspect of adding a custom farm and setting up warp points as well as waiting for people to report and fix issues like always :P but most known expansions are compatible now.

**Full list of features:**

* 7 Farms scattered around the world.
* Each farm included has their own perks just like the vanilla farms.
* Each farm acts just like the main farm, meaning NPC events will be adapted to occur on the cabins and machines like lightning rods or solar panels will work here.
* Optional starter crates with items thematically selected for each farm.
* Optional pre-built cabins on each farm.
* Optional pre-built buildings for 2 of the farms.
* You can enable/disable each farm.
* You configure the names of each farm so it's easier to identify on Robins build menu.
* You can also change the type of farm (it's on your hands to fix/setup warp points, everything is configurable in-game but some changes apply after a restart).
* You can add custom farms (but this is an advanced feature with lots of issues you should be able to handle yourself).
* Every fix/patch can be disabled so you can use this mod on single-player without issues.
* Compatible with many mods.

# For modders or curious people:

This is a list of stuff I needed to use C# or Harmony so the experience of additional farms will be the same as the main farm and farmhands feel like the protagonist of the story and not just a neighbor:

* Patch to allow building cabins in any place of the world and not just Farm
* The mailbox notification for farmhands logic had to be rewritten completely, which also involved patching some other related methods.
* Patch to modify the default warp location after a festival ends.
* Patch to modify return scepter warp location.
* Patch to modify farm totem warp location.
* Patch to modify lightning rods so they could generate batteries on any farm.
* Patch to allow mini-obelisk to be placed on any farm.
* Detection of the location of each player home which then I expose tokens for camera, player and npc locations so that events will be dinamically adapted for each player in their respective location.
