The idea with all of these Megas is to have them feel powerful while being fair. Mostly designed for doubles, but I tried to have sympathy for singles players as well. All of these were middlingly statted mons with some potential worth exploring
\*\*Mega Exploud:\*\* What if a Mega completely lost its original type? Dragonize Boomburst off of a 141 SPA, but it still has an awkward 63 speed. In doubles it will sit next to Eviolite Clefairy, Whimsicott, and Hatterene, and has the potential to be good in Trick Room and Tailwind, similar to another normal type. Ghost type for STAB shadow ball and because completely switching types is something no other mega has done before
\*\*Mega Vikavolt:\*\* What if instead of fixing its atrocious speed stat, we didn’t? Vikavolt has a lot of moves and lore leaning into acceleration rather than speed, which matches its railgun/fighter jet/particle accelerator. At the face of it, this is a harder hitting, slower Sharpedo with worse coverage
\*\*Mega Revavroom:\*\* How could we balance earth eater steel poison? Give it avalugg SPDEF and a taste of the Hoenn special, now it takes 80% from Geoboosted Xerneas moonblast (may have gone too far). I wanted to make something that could wall the deer/dino combo, but that wouldn’t be balanced so I stuck with the original design but gave it some significant drawbacks. Based off of Cultivator No. 6, this unnatural pokemon would tear out the very foundations of the ecosystem stopping only once it has been burnt to the ground.
