new hives even on steroids?

Hi all, I’m fairly new to the urticaria community and i’m still discussing so much with my allergist to figure out what’s going on. recently I had hives for 7 days with the cause of it unknown. so I finally was able to see an allergist and she put me on prednisone. i’m on day 3 of it and I just woke up with some hives. I was wondering if anyone else has experienced this? my allergist is pondering the diagnosis of chronic hives or seeing if I have an autoimmune disease, this whole things has really been rough on my mindset.
