Unpopular opinion: I ended up preferring dimensity 9500s over snapdragon 8 gen 5 in daily use

before anyone attacks me, i’m not talking about benchmark apps 😭 I’m talking actual usage after the new phone excitement wears off

Snapdragon 8 gen 5 device i tried was insanely powerful on paper, but the heat during gaming + camera use together was kinda disappointing ngl. you could literally feel the phone getting warmer and performance becoming less stable after a while

Dimensity 9500s phone weirdly felt smoother over longer sessions. gaming fps stayed more consistent, battery drain was less aggressive, and multitasking felt more predictable wholely

A year ago i probably wouldn’t have expected to say this, but mediatek’s flagship chips lately feel way more balanced than people give them credit for!!
