Is dating apps the only way if you live in the suburbs?

Live with parents. Can't afford to move out after getting laid off. The difference between the women I see in the city vs out here, an hour away is night and day. Nothing but minorities and retirees/married women here. Ive maybe seen someone of legal age and aren't in any of those categories like maybe 1-2 times a month going about my usual routine. The bars here are sausage fests or just families. I've sworn to never use apps again but man, it seems it's the only viable way out here.
