What do you recommend

My partner and I are looking to upgrade on a budget. He sleeps on his back and I sleep on my stomach, and we both tend to overheat most nights. We both like a medium/firm feel. We don’t have a large spending budget, I’d say our absolute max is $1200.

I feel like I’ve done so much researching to find the best mattress for us, and now I’m just completely overwhelmed and have no idea where to start.
