Genuinely need advice
What do you do when you don’t feel joy for others and it leads you to spiral. Lately I’ve been really struggling with certain emotions. I find comparison is through the roof for some reason. All my friends and acquaintances are moving forward to big chapters. One is moving to a different state with a friend, one just got engaged, one got a new job right out of college, and the list goes on. Meanwhile I’m legit stuck. I am so lost I want to scream. I still live at home because I can’t change careers. Due to the job market and it’s not from a lack of trying. I can’t afford to move out either so I’m trying to pay off debt and do what I can at home. I have no social life outside of work. I just don’t have friends around me. Which when you spend so much time feeling lonely. Your brain starts conjuring why you do this and that and creating lies. I hate this about me but I’m not sure how to change. I just feel like a very bitter person who’s just in a bad place right now. I don’t have anyone outside of family to talk to this about. Which they let me rant and vent when needed. Which I greatly appreciate but they always say “I don’t know what to tell you”. I just feel like a massive disappointment in my family. Which makes me avoid family get togethers. Since you see all your cousins and younger cousins doing amazing things. Meanwhile nothings changed for you in years. So it feels embarrassing to when they say anything new in your life and you respond with no.
I am medicated and know I struggle with things like depression and anxiety. Most days are great but some days just hit you really freaking hard. Any advice or recommendations for books on stuff like this or whatever is much appreciated. I’m typing this out at work to hopefully avoid bursting into tears. It’s not being very successful unfortunately
