I thought the excuse was that they could not put Moon Girl on the field. So what is the new excuse now?

She can be on the field now... so they could have gone in so many different directions.
How did we go from “we can’t put Moon Girl on the field” to “we can shoot at her as long as she doesn’t get hurt”?

That idea completely changes the situation and what NetEase COULD have done with them. She could have flown next to him or stayed on Devil Dinosaur’s back like Mo & Krill in Deadlock or Nunu & Willump in League of Legends.

She could have been a hologram, had a force field, or participated in the fight without being directly involved. So how were they supposedly in a difficult situation with her when they can release something like this? Why did they choose the direction of simply not including her next to Devil and turning her into an NPC when they could have been creative and respected the duo?

Most people are just asking for her to at least appear in an MVP animation or the character selection screen like Peni Parker, and now we learn that they can indeed add this type of character on the field as long as they do not get hurt. And people are acting like this kind of concept has never existed in video game history.

I’m confused.

So what’s the new excuse now regarding Moon Girl?
