Is Traditional SEO Slowly Dying Because of AI Search?
Lately I’ve been noticing more people using ChatGPT, Gemini, and AI search tools instead of clicking traditional Google results. It makes me wonder — are we entering a phase where websites will get less organic traffic from normal search?
A few things I’ve been thinking about:
- Will AI answers reduce website clicks?
- Is brand authority becoming more important than backlinks?
- Will content quality matter more than keyword stuffing now?
- Are businesses shifting from “ranking on Google” to “being mentioned by AI”?
At the same time, SEO still seems important because AI tools also rely on quality web content and trusted sources.
Feels like digital marketing is moving toward:
- Topical authority
- Personal branding
- Video content
- Community building
- AI-optimized content strategies
Curious to know what others think:
Is SEO evolving… or slowly being replaced by AI-driven discovery?
