The incentives for advancement are lacking, but isn't there really nothing to gain from it?

In DRG, promotion quests provided cores essential for spec upgrades and cosmetic enhancements, but RC doesn't give anything, does it?

Unless you want to show others that you've played the game a lot, it seems there is no reason to advance right now. Is that correct?
