Is it possible to make a sensor that smells tobacco smoke faster than I can?

Question

I have access MQ-2 and MQ-135 sensors, AI also suggested CCS811 and SGP30.

I'm using an ESP32-S3, sending the readings over wifi and alerting myself of spikes

Idk how fast exactly and MQ-2 is supposed to react, haven't tested it against actual smoke yet. It seems to react to IPA and smokier matches. What I'm afraid of is that even if it spikes at tobacco smoke that it would be too slow.

I also didn't understand how to set it up for 5V (I need a voltage divider, but then the ESP doesn't power it, idk what's going on, AI suggested two power sources but it didn't work either and idk if it's because the cable was shitty or what) so I'm stuck with a 3.3V setup, which might be inferior
