transferring channel/account to different email

pretty much just that. wanting to know if turning the channel into a brand account method was the only one, if there were any issues with having it be a brand account in terms of every day use (features i cant use, etc), if its possible to turn it back into a regular account, all that stuff. i dont want to lose the account but also dont want it tied to an old email is all
