USICT CSE vs DTU Mechanical — need serious advice😭😭
I got around 53k rank in jee mains, male delhi hs
I’m really confused between waiting for DTU Mechanical or taking USICT CSE, and I’d really appreciate honest advice from seniors/alumni.
According to previous year cutoffs, I might get DTU Mechanical. But this year there are only 4 regular rounds instead of 5(have no ideas about changes in internal upgradation rounds), so I’m worried rank relaxation may be much lower than usual.
The risky part is that in unexpected outcomes, I could end up losing around ₹1 lakh in fees/deposit(i can buy something nice for myself with that kind of money),
I am more inclined towards tech. there are concerns regarding facility and placements in Usict, but it is not a bad college overall but in terms of preference dtu mech>usict>other lower branch(dtu). I have also eyes on nsut ecam , dtu ep and dtu new branch mech and automation engineering.(I also heard in that there is no exposure and college life in east campus, idk how much this is true)
People who had a similar situation :
What did you finally choose and why?
Do you regret taking branch over college or college over branch?
If someone took DTU lower branch, how hard was it to get into tech placements later?
If someone chose USICT CSE over DTU lower branches, was it worth it in the long run?
