Should I renew my car Insurance from showroom or get it online

I have a tata car and want to renew it's insurance coming month, also wants to claim the insurance for under body scratches and back panel scratches. So looking to just go with no claim bonus discount and then claim for insurance. Want to know on both things the experience and journey of insurance claim and on car renew experience as I want it to go cashless even I buy from outside.
