Cosy but not crowded locations for a 40th?

Hello! Am looking for recommendations for 4-6 people to eat at cosy but not crowded restaurants for a 40th in a few months. Share plates or set menus are fine. Degustations are out of our price range for this event.

I have some hearing difficulties in noisy/crowded places hence looking for cosy but not crowded.

CBD, East or Inner West ideally :)
