EBay Seller for 28 years, thousands of transactions, 100% positive feedback - received my first dispute/chargeback for "Item Not As Described", will likely have a $69 item stolen from me. Buyer was a brand new account with zero feedback, zero order history.

Ebay's web site is no help... if you challenge the dispute, the web page says to "upload supporting documentation to prove you sent the correct item"... Aftger googling my alternatives, I selected "Accept dispute with order return" but there is nothing eBay can do except politely ask the credit card company to tell the buyer to return the item... which won't happen, of course.

What are some of the mitigations I can take in the future? Should I start taking a photo of the item in the box, along with the shipping label, before I tape it up? Can I refuse to ship orders to brand new accounts with zero feedback/zero history? My wife is leaning towards - giving up on Ebay completely.... we never realized it was so easy for people to rip you off.... eBay suddenly seems kinda risky.
