Anyone else confused about the DETE Presidency Policy Officer panels?

Anyone else completely confused about the DETE Presidency Policy Officer panels/process?

I’m quite far down on one of the panels (apparently around 43 people total?) and I genuinely can’t tell whether there’s any realistic chance of being called at this stage, especially considering the Presidency starts soon.

What’s confusing me even more is that people seem to be mentioning different panel sizes, so I can’t even work out if there are multiple panels running at the same time or what’s going on.

The emails also said the panel would stay active for 12 months, which seems odd for a Presidency role unless they’re planning to use it more broadly or across departments?

Has anyone heard anything concrete about numbers/start dates/how they’re actually using the panels?
